We’ve been having the Reva here which hasn’t been too successful simply because it is overpriced. Though it offers considerable financial savings later on, people aren’t wiling to pay 3.5 to 4 lakhs for a two seater electric car. So till electric car prices fall, this is one source of mobility which might not take off, especially in developing countries like India.
